Curvy Brides by the Numbers

This show only had one season and five episodes which two people searching for their perfect gown in each episode.  I really loved this show as it focused on inclusivity and that everyone deserves to feel beautiful on their special day.   I believe if this show had gotten a few more seasons, it would have become a staple.

It had a loyal and devoted audience.  There was no prizes as the ladies were responsible for paying for the dresses.  It was simply a heart-warming feel good show.  If this feels like your jam, you can still buy the episodes on Amazon.  We’re unaware of this being available anywhere for streaming.  However, if it does come to a streaming service we’d love to get a link, and we’ll update this post.

Curvy Brides Casting Tips

The show is set in the Washington DC area so it helps to either be in that area or have the ability to visit the shop multiple times. Additionally, most of the gowns cost multiple thousands of dollars so it’s important to come in with an appropriate budget. The show has fairly open casting which requires sending an email to the show’s contact which we’ll include below. Additionally, any person appearing on the show will need to sign a waiver.

Applicant Restrictions:

Because there is no prize money paid out to the contestants, there are less rules and regulations than other shows. The standard TLC guidelines apply of being a US resident and not being a minor. Otherwise, the casting is fairly open to anyone who is interested in sharing their wedding gown experience with the world.

  • Must be 18+ Years Old
  • Must be willing to shop at Curvaceous Couture on camera
  • Must be a US Resident

This show has recently opened it’s casting for the 2015 season, but it doesn’t look like any of the episodes reached air. We continue to check for updates for this show, but we haven’t seen anything in the last 7 years.  If the show does ever return, we will certainly update this page.  I believe there are many people who would love to appear on this show.
