The bachelor is a dating reality show in which an “Eligible” bachelor dates 20-25 women with the goal of finding a future wife. The women each are vying for the attention of the bachelor who has the sole power to decide who stays and who leaves. Each week, the contestants who stay receive a rose, and everyone else is eliminated from the show.

Applicant Restrictions:

  • Must be 21+ Years Old
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must have a recent Photo
  • Must have an application Video
  • Must be Single
  • Must not be a felon

There are two methods of applying for the Bachelor. The first is to attend one of the casting calls for the show. This show has considerably more casting calls than other shows, Season 19 of the Bachelor has more than a dozen casting calls throughout June.

  • Nashville, TN — June 19, 2014
  • Charlotte, NC — June 26, 2014
  • Austin, TX — June 27, 2014
  • St. Louis, MO — June 27, 2014
  • Mount Pleasant — June 28, 2014
  • Fort Worth, TX — June 29, 2014
  • Detroit, MI — July 10, 2014
  • Coconut Creek, FL — July 12, 2014
  • Kansas City, MO — July 10, 2014

The casting call list for the bachelor can be found here. This is a great method if you are spontaneous and able to present yourself on the fly.

If you are a bit more reserved or need time to rehearse to put your best face forward then submitting a video may be the better option for you. If you choose to do this, you should complete a 3-5 minute video explaining why you would be a great contestant on the bachelor. Also include your dating history, family/hometown details, anything that makes you unique. You may also want to include a great fantasy date.
