Framework Show Overview
This is a multiple episode reality show that follows the follows the survivor model of eliminating one contestant each week until a single person remains and takes the prize. The competition features 13 furniture creators who design and build furniture, and it premiered on Spike TV in January 2015. This show has a very familiar look and feel to the show Inkmaster. The show is judged by by builder Brandon Gore, designer Nolen Niu, and celebrity rapper Common.
The initial show has been receiving a great deal of publicity as Spike seems to be pushing this show. It has a lot of potential, but as of right now we are not aware of the show being picked up for a second season. If the show is picked up for the 2016 season, we will update this casting guide with all the relevant dates, times, and locations for the audition process.
Framework Casting Tips
This is an absolutely amazing show for those in the handmade furniture business. The show lists the contestants full names and twitter accounts. It also provides a great bio for all the people on the show. Everyone who appears on this show, is likely going to see an increase in demand for their products as being on the show will provide publicity. Many of the season 1 contestants had stories written about them in their local community newspapers.
Applicant Restrictions:
There are few restrictions regarding applying for the show; however, the production team is looking for people who have experience and talent building furniture. This is not a competition that will provide any level of training so everyone needs to be a master in woodwork and metal craft before applying. While there are many benefits to appearing on the show, it may be best to hone your skills and be proficient at every aspect of furniture construction.

The casting for season 1 is complete. If the show is renewed for another season, we will post complete details, steps and contact information. In the meantime, we suggest taking pictures and videos of your projects at various stages. The goal is to make the most compelling application video possible, and this will be far easier if you have a lot of footage from actual pieces built.
