OMG EMT Show Overview

This is a single episode docudrama appearing on TLC which allows paramedics, firemen, and other emergency workers to share their story. The producers are looking for funny incidents in which everything turns out well for the person calling. The identity of the hurt person will be hidden to protect the patient; however, the emergency worker will appear on camera to share their story. This is a great chance to have a little fun with your daily work life and claim a few minutes of fame for you and the organization you work. This show premiered in May 2014, and it has wrapped shooting its first season. The producers are now casting for the 2015 season.

Show Casting Tips

The two most important elements to appear on this show are to be an emergency worker who is sharing a true story and have the proper approval before speaking to the press. The shows production team will almost certainly require waivers from both the leaders allowing you to be filmed about the story. It may also seek to get a waiver from the patient especially in small, rural ares in which someone’s identity could be easily inferred. If you have a great tale, then you need to through the proper channels to appear on the show.

Please remember, your leaders and the show producers are on your side and want to give you a voice to share the funny story. In most cases, the hurdles set forth are merely to protect everyone involved in sharing the story. If you find someone who doesn’t want that particular story told or your group has a policy against this, then the episode is usually blocked even before any filming is done.
